Club Grants

Club Burwood Group supports a wide range of charitable bodies, not-for-profit community groups, schools and sporting organisations in the Burwood LGA through the ClubGRANTS Scheme. ClubGRANTS Scheme is a shared State Government-Club Industry Program, funded by a 2.25% gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government to those registered clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million per annum.

Community groups in the Burwood local government area are encouraged to apply for funding under the ClubGRANTS Program.  Funding is available in the following categories:

  1. Community Welfare and Social Services
  2. Community Development
  3. Community Health Services and
  4. Employment Assistance Activities.

Please scroll down for further information about the different ClubGRANTS categories.

Category 1

This category focuses on supporting specific community programs and development initiatives.  Coordinated with Burwood Council and the Local Club Grant Committee, eligible projects include community welfare and social services, health services, employment assistance, and initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of low-income, disadvantaged or at risk individuals.  Applicants must outline how this program specifically benefits the Burwood LGA.

Category 1 is open from February 1st 2026 – May 31st 2026.

Category 2 Applications

This category supports broader community programs being held in the Burwood LGA, including financial and in-kind assistance for activities such as junior sports and grassroots sporting initiatives, veteran welfare programs, and general community development and support activities.

In kind funding is for local community groups seeking financial support for room hire or fund raising vouchers.

Category 2 funding is managed directly by the club throughout the year.

How To Apply for a Grant

Applications are via the Club Grants website. If you have not applied before you will need to review the eligibility criteria and identify which funding category your project falls under.   If you do not have an account you will need to set one up before applying.
